d-backs game

Look at the boys free shirts!!! The girls throwing them out thought these we 3 good looking boys that needed some shirts.

Darin got some really good tickets to the game tonight and we thought Andrew might enjoy a baseball game indoors. The tickets came with some spending money so they each got to shop for a souvenir. They had a great time!

Hole in the ice cream?

We introduced Chick-fil-et to Andrew today and treated ourselves to ice cream afterwards. We are sitting outside because they were freezing inside with their damp clothes on. While eating the cones the boys discovered a hole down the middle of their ice cream. Andrew informed us that where he is from they dont put holes in the middle of ice cream!! Come on San Fransico... time to get with the times!!

The zoo

Why would someone go to the zoo in 110 degree weather well it is not for the animals. We came for the splashpad. We saw a few animals on our way to the waterplace but only stopped if there were misters!! The kids had a blast at the cave. There is water everywhere and it felt good after an hour in the heat.

This is the hole!! We decided on a whim to hike up here before we went to the zoo.

In Arizona, fireworks are banned, even sparklers so we try to go to mom and dads as often as we can so they can enjoy the wonders of playing with fire!! I have fond memories of big fourth of july parties growing up. It felt good to have so many together and watching my kids enjoy it!!

Okay this is a little out of order but I am making a slideshow and working all the kinks out. This last weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa Scholz for fireworks. The kids were able to see there cousins which always makes for a better time. Most of them got to float the river and swim. Then on Monday, we went to the coast. We also brought Andrew home with us to spend some time here in Sunny Arizona where we hope we dont melt him. It is a lot hotter than San Fransico!! Thanks everyone else for coming and thanks mom and dad for always having an open door!!

Quotes of the day

I decided to color code the quotes just to mix things up alittle. Zackery is red, Conner is orange and Nickola is purple. I hope you all enjoy reading these.

After tripping over nothing on the sidewalk, Nickola declares "I'm getting new feet!" (she was barefooted otherwise she would of said new shoes)

"Are you good at keeping secrets from dad" Zackery asks mom, "we don't keep secrets, why?"says mom...."because it will be hard when you get a new boyfriend to hide that from dad." He now knows that once you are married you dont get another boyfriend!!

1-29-09 Nickola asks, "Mom, am I cool and awesome and beautiful?" Of course I said yes...we don't think she will have a self esteem problem!!

1-30-09 Conner jumped on mommys back. Mommy said "aargh" Conner ran away yelling,"Angry women, Angry women, run for your life!" Another lessoned learned from dad??

2-6-09 Nickola asks, "Mom can we trade mouths because mine wont quit spitting and saying bad words (stupid is our bad word). I tell her I can't take my mouth off and she replies "mom it is just pretend." I am glad she cleared that up for me.

3-8-09 Zackery notes: "Thats wierd that in Hippo language, Baby your huge, is a compliment?" Said after watching Madagascar 2.

Conner was lipsyncing in the car and says "look mom I can sing real good when I don't say anything"

Nickolas opinion about Uncle Shaun: "Why are we picking up that boy, is it because he is handsome, yeah I like his face."

July 2009 Conner walks into the living "ouch I think I hurt my coccyx.....wait whats a coccyx?" (tailbone) So apparantly he hurt it even though he wasn't sure what it was.

Zackery made a punch list for scouts and I was looking over his shoulder and noticed one of the things on it said, "Sunday: be board at church." Well I am sure he accomplished that goal.

July 2009: Zackery declares he is going to be a couch potatoe!

Nickola informs her Daddy that "My heart beats for you daddy."

July 13th 2009: While waiting for Darin at the airport she yells, "I can't hold my starving" I told her as soon as daddy comes out we will go eat but she yells "Lets leave him" She was happy to see him when he finally arrived though.

While circling the airport on the same day she declares "Mom turn off the radio my brain is trying to say something."

Conner asks which team he should cheer for and I told him to pick one and he says, "I am going to cheer for the one that wins" What a good idea!

Nickola says "Bless you" when you sneeze and "Cough you" when you cough

While touring the lobby in las vegas, Zackery came up with a new word, Fu-ad (fun plus bad) which is what we feel Vegas is.

Dad was driving and looking around at the bridge while Nickola tells him "Dad, Focus!"

Nickola Zackery and Conner get out of the pool and drap there towels around one shoulder and walk around saying "look I am Jesus." Blasphemy? I am just glad they know about Jesus and it was Monday night so Family Home Evening Lesson, Right?

Conner looks at dad in church and says "Hey in 2 more years Zackery will be a demon." I think he means Deacon but we will keep you posted if he turns into a demon

Nickola suddenly stops Yesterday (9-26) and says: I have a new word.....sheees alouise! (geez louise) We are pretty sure that is what she was trying to say.

Zackery has become the snap kid. Everything now is "oh snap" When he messes up, forgets something or just because. I guess it could be worse.

I turn off the radio because it had a song with a bad word. Nic was so sad and after I explained why it did it, she replies "It doesn't say mean, or fat or stupid so it doesn't have bad words".......gotta love the innocence

Nickolas number for the last few months is: sixteen hundred thousand eighteen. Everything is that number, cookies to eat, songs she can sing, days until christmas.....

10-2-09 Zack is losing his voice and when asked about it he calmly says, "Its just puberty" We hope not because I am not ready for that yet

Guess what? My shoes smell like goat. Why you ask....because I stepped on their hair.

12-24-2009 After accidently peeing her underwear she sat on her floor and proclaimed, "Oh Im on the naughty list for sure!"

Conner had a friend over last Friday and he told me that someone wanted to beat him up at school on Monday. I asked him who and he said some girl so i told him that when girls say that to boys it means they like them. Conner says wow lots of girls like me because a bunch of them told me they want to kill me.

Am i too beautiful? I am shining, once I am too beautiful then i shine.. i hurt your eyes. If we could all have this much confidence.
