Who says stay at home moms have more time??

It's been a while since I have blogged but it has been a crazy last few weeks. I was thinking about how some people just assume since some of us stay home all day we have all the time in the world but I beg to differ.... here was my week:
2-16 No school kids home all day, watched my niece, had my friends little boy over for a few hours, took 6 kids to the movies,
2-17 Taught preschool in the morning, gave blood, scouts (I am the den leader), meeting at 7:00, dance at 8:00
2-18 Preschool, p/u niece, watch neighbors boys til 3:00, prepare for scrapbooking, kids get home and have house full of friends
2-19 preschool, scout meeting to prepare for blue and gold, watched friends kids, scrapbooking class that night
2-20 prepare to teach art in 2 classrooms at school, teach art, go get blood work done, pick up kids go to museum, met Darin for dinner at Red Robin...
This is a typical week but you know what I love it!! I love being busy and I love the support from everyone. I watch their kids they watch mine it is a great setup. Every day after school, we have a house full of friends until dinner time of course they are starting to migrate to Kims house (they have the trampoline) on some days except for Nickola. Baseball is starting up and Darin has to coach Conners team because they didn't have a coach (and assisting on Zackerys) so with his busy work schedule we will see how that pans out, oh yeah and I am team mom .

Valentines Day 2009

Once a year we try and take the kids to the snow so they don't forget what it looks like (with living in the desert and all). This year our good friends the Skabelunds went with us. We had a great time. Conner and Nickola were content to dig and play in the snow. They did sled and love it too. Conner went flying off one of the ramp they made and Nickola sled down all by herself. Zackery loved the sledding part. He went again and again alone and with other people. We took one Skabelund up and he got car sick so we brought a different one home and she threw up lunch. I think Darins car is cursed or something...but its all cleaned up no harm done. In fact it makes for a more exciting life!! We went for pizza afterward with 11 kids and 4 adults but they all did really well in fact one lady told Kim that the kids were so all well behaved and quiet... It feels good to get a compliment!!! We can't wait to go back next year!!

Its Tuesday!!

I look forward to Tuesdays!! Last October, I gave in and we got cable under the condition that Darin has to take dance lessons....we have our third lesson tonight!! It is great fun and Darin (although secretly) loves it. There is nothing like dancing (and laughing) with the one you love.

Suprise

My new water heater, Darin also got a new toy for himself and look at these happy dirty children (yes that spot on Zacks arm is where is band aid was) we were all able to enjoy warm baths and showers though...thanks dad!!!!!!

I went to Pow wow (cub scout leader training) and this is what I came home to---a new WATER HEATER!! Darin had installed one while I was gone. I am not the best one for suprises because I like to be involved with the decision making when it is something that affects me too especially since I had spents days researching but apparantly Darin was too. So of course I "burst his bubble" (as he puts it) again so this blog is to let everyone know how wonderful he is at getting things done and planning special things for me that I am vowing right now to be more excited about them(its in writing honey!) You did great hun and I love the hot water!!

Learn something new!

Okay I have now discovered that people can leave comments...that is so much fun. I am going to start leaving comments on other peoples blog, woohoo! Oh and by the way, I may still get a new water heater. Ours is still acting funny, Darin is going to work on it tomorrow so we will see!!

Unlucky week

While running Nickolas bath, I noticed there is no hot water. I was thrilled!! Our water heater gave out...I get a new one!! What a great end to my crazy week. Sadly it was just the circuit that blew. I have wanted a new water heater for a while....a bigger one so I never run out of hot water. Darin doesn't share my vision while ours works perfectly fine (what a guy answer!!) Needless to say when I ran outside to tell him we need a new heater he asked, "What did you do to it?" Being the handy man he is, he drained it filled it and flipped the breaker and we have hot water. Maybe next time....
