Eclipse Movie

After an emotionally draining day, I was looking forward to seeing the new Twilight movie. We had a chance to see it Tuesday night at 8:00 not midnight!!!! It is such a good movie, they just get better everytime! I will post pictures when I get them from my friend.....

Family Tragedy...

Yesterday we lost our dog Maya. She passed away from something similar to a heart attack. It was very hard on the kids and surprisingly me and Darin. I had my friends kids yesterday and we were all in the pool, when Conner came out and said Maya slipped on the floor and is not getting up. I went in to check on her and immediately called Darin to get home and take her to the vet. I called the vet to find out what I should do and they said get her her now.... She is 105 pds, I cant lift her!! By the time I got off the phone she had stopped breathing. I called Darin back to tell him she was gone. I hurried and got 8 kids out of the pool, my neighbor came and got 3 kids (thanks Emily) and I took ours and some of Kim's kids to the vet after Darin got home and loaded her in the truck. The put us in a room at the vets office and let us say goodbye. It was a very sad time and Nickola especially will miss her. We have had her almost all of Nickolas life. Zackery is very hopeful she will get resurrected and in the mean time he is very glad that Uncle Jake is taking care of her for us!! So sweet...............

Arts and Academics

Every year the kids school has an arts and academics night where the kids can enter a picture and this year each one of our kids took a ribbon home. I am so glad the artistic gene is in their blood. Way to go boys!!

Baseball is in full swing

One reason I haven't had much blogging time or time in general is baseball season is here. Con was the only one who wanted to play this year so that lightens things up a little but Dar is not coaching this year which has been hard for him but he has missed half the games so it is probably a good thing. Con is on the Iron Pigs Team. Try going to a game and yelling Go Pigs..... it just sounds funny. He is hitting good and gets to play catcher and has even pitched a little.

Famous grandkid picture

Every time we get together Grandma (who came to babysit with grandma Great for the concert) tries to get a new pic of the grand kids. I have many pics where my kids were not cooperating ie. Zackery screaming as a baby, Conner screaming as a baby and Nic screaming as a toddler. The last few times we took these my kids were not the ones screaming so I thought WOW we must have passed the torch and it feels kinda good. Well the torch came full circle.... Con was not even in the first one for so many reasons and so Jen was good enough to take one by himself hoping to photo shop in so we will see if it works..

One of these days mom we will get a great one!

Even more fun

Next Jeff hooked us all up with ticket to Magic mountain with the VIP bracelets. We were able to walk up to any ride through the exit and get right on. My kids loved the roller coasters. They went on the Riddler, Batman, Dejuvu, Terminator, Tattoo (I think) and lots of water rides. We had a blast and thanks again Jeff!!! I love getting together with me family, we always get teased that we never stop and constantly go, go, go but we love it that way and get so much more done!!!


Surprisingly the kids didn't get this wet on a ride but standing on a bridge watching a ride!! Nic and I went on log jammer at the beginning and got pretty soak so we choose to stay out of this activity.
Darin got to go to his Dodger game of course while we were at Magic Mountain. The won Friday, lost on Sat, and won on Sun. Is it coincidence that the only game they lost was the one Darin attended!!?? They do love to torture him.
